About this event
Greetings!
Volunteer to be an LWV Greeter or stop by and see us while you shop local and support sustainable local produce and goods, hosted by the AH Historical Museum.
Volunteer to be a LWV Greeter by emailing Shannon at info.lwvah@gmail.com or go to Sign Up Genius (copy and paste into your browser): https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0449A4A822A1F58-50089375-farmers
Greeter Duties: Welcome shoppers to the market at one of the four entrances, count attendance with a clicker, pass out scavenger hunts to kids, answer questions and direct shoppers to areas of the market. You will have a clipboard with all necessary information.
Last year the farmers markets were so fun. We're back + doing a few more closer to candidate forum season promos, greeting people and promoting a simple message: LWV AH-MP-BG Shop Loca
In addition to lending support to healthy sustainable purposes of community farmers markets, we have 2 aims: take simple, friendly action to meet people where they are to increase our public name recognition in our communities and begin to GOTV simply by offering our new nonpartisan handout that Your Vote is Your Voice (in English and Spanish).
We will be at Greeter tables in duos. Newer members, you are 110% welcome! Just bring your friendly face and, if you have one, wear your LWV tshirt. League leaders will be there with you.
Bigger picture ...we CAN help defend democracy by simple acts and deliberate, concerted effort. Let's not take the Vote or a functioning democracy for granted. Two election cycles are ahead, the November General Election and February '25 Primary with April Consolidated Election (including local school boards).
Only we each can answer the Q for ourself, what action will I take to defend a functioning democracy?
Thank you for being here! See you at the Market :)
