For this Non-Book Club Event, view this recent Braver Angels video ahead of time, in which co-founder, Bill Doherty, Ph.D., uses the concepts taught during Braver Angels workshops to help those with differing political views learn new tools for connecting and communicating. Braver Angels is an organization uniting Red (Conservative) and Blue (Liberal) Americans in a working alliance to depolarize America. In this video, two cousins, Kathy and Matt, are coached by Bill to help them find better ways to manage their political differences for the sake of their relationship. The goal is to help Kathy and Matt, and the audience, learn better ways to manage their political differences for the sake of their relationships. We hope it helps our country as well! Our discussion will be on your thoughts regarding the concepts being conveyed to Kathy and Matt to help them have a more agreeable, informative, and friendly conversation; while still sharing their differing viewpoints with each other. For those of you who may have a friend, family member or co-worker who has differing political views than you do; and due to those differences you are sometimes challenged to have an amenable conversation; this event is for you!
